Current Resources

  • Spanish Proficiency Exercises at the UT website [LINK]

Most of the language learning that you will need to be successful will be done outside the classroom. Devote at least an hour a week to independent study of Spanish, and you will be guaranteed to be a good Spanish learner. Spend enough time with the words to memorize the spelling, pronunciation and meaning!

Spanish 1 students should go to the University of Texas Spanish site and do the BEGINNING Tasks 1-11. Listen to the video clips, and write down key words from the RELATED GRAMMAR section found on the right hand side of the page for the task you are working on. Memorize the pronunciation, spelling, and meaning of the words in order to be well prepared to make an "A."

Spanish 2 students should review the BEGINNING Tasks 1-10. Then listen to the video clips for tasks 11-15, and write down key words from the RELATED GRAMMAR section found on the right hand side for the page for the task you are working on. Memorize the pronunciation, spelling, and meaning of the words in order to be well prepared to make an "A" in second year.

After completing BEGINNING tasks 11-15, second year students should complete INTERMEDIATE-A tasks 1-5, following the same instructions as the previous tasks.
