Hello. I am Max Wilson, music specialist at John R. Beatty Elementary School. I am from Pennsylvania were I attended Hollidaysburg High School and graduated in 1995 with honors. While in high school and college, I worked at a medium market radio station playing oldies during the nightshift. I attended Seton Hill University near Pittsburgh until 1999. I studied the trumpet and received the Rogers / McFeely scholarship to study music.

During 1999 I moved to Las Vegas to teach elementary music. My first job found me traveling to six schools. The second year, I found a classroom at Ronzone Elementary School in the northwest part of town. While at Ronzone, I began several programs like the Bertha Ronzone Honor Choir and Ronzone Channel 6 TV studio. In 2005 I was named a Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year. During 2006 I was given the honor of being nominated for a Disney Teacher Award. I am enjoying the students and staff and look forward to staying a while.

My main instrument is guitar. I also play trumpet and a little piano. My philosophy of teaching is to get the students involved. I believe that every child deserves a chance. I attempt to get every student a part in a lesson.
